In the pre-dawn hours of May 17, 2024, a wave of violence rippled through Minneapolis, claiming the life of 28-year-old DaVonte Javon Adams. A Black male from the small town of Spring Valley, Minnesota, Adams was known for his kind and patient nature. He channeled these qualities into his work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Spring Valley Living, where he was a dedicated and well-loved caregiver to the elderly. His gentle and strong presence also made him a beloved figure to his nephews.
