On May 17, 2024, at approximately 4:40 a.m., a tragic incident occurred in north Minneapolis, resulting in the death of Da'Vonte Jovan Adams. The 28-year-old man from Spring Valley, Minnesota, was shot in the 2200 block of N. 5th Avenue. Adams was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), where he was pronounced dead.
