On September 7, 2018, 32-year-old Liban Mohamed Abdulahi of Burnsville, Minnesota, was found shot to death inside a car in the parking lot behind the Hard Times Cafe on Riverside Avenue in Minneapolis. Officers responded to the scene around 7:20 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they discovered Abdulahi's body, and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner later determined that he had died from multiple gunshot wounds.
