On the night of September 4, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., 46-year-old Mario Ray Sparkman was fatally shot multiple times on South Portland Avenue near East 15th Street in Minneapolis. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed his identity and cause of death.
