In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 35-year-old Jamiya Owen was tragically cut short. On January 18, 2015, Owen, a male resident of the city, was fatally wounded by gunfire in a violent incident that also claimed the life of 34-year-old Jeffery Baker.
