In the mid-afternoon of a Thursday in north Minneapolis, the life of 18-year-old Isaiah Khalel Goodwin, a Black male from Anoka, was cut short. On October 10, 2024, police responded to a report of gunfire just after 4 p.m. in the area of the 4200 block of Penn Avenue North. Their investigation led them to an alley on the 4200 block of Queen Avenue North, where they discovered Goodwin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite any efforts by first responders, he died at the scene.
