Derek Angelo Burgess, a 35-year-old resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota, tragically lost his life on June 1, 2024, in a shooting incident in north Minneapolis. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office officially identified Burgess as the victim on June 17, 2024, ruling his death a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
