On April 8, 2024, 24-year-old Lojuron J. Emmanuel was found deceased in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire near the Midtown Greenway in the 2900 block of S. Portland Avenue around 4 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered Emmanuel with multiple gunshot wounds on the grass next to the sidewalk. A handgun with an extended magazine was located nearby. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed his death at the scene.
