In the early evening of March 14, 2023, the life of a young Black/African American man, Khristopher Brown, was cut tragically short in Topeka, Kansas. The 19-year-old, known affectionately to friends and family as "KB," was a recent graduate of Lawrence High School and had completed a carpentry trade program at Washburn Tech. He was described as a playful, courageous, and kind individual with a gorgeous smile that could light up any room he entered.
