In the early hours of a Tuesday in Topeka, Kansas, the life of 39-year-old Louis David Perez Cantrell was tragically cut short. On July 5, 2022, just before 1 a.m., police were called to the 200 block of SE Lawrence Street following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Cantrell suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but his injury proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
