On April 24, 2023, 44-year-old Shawn Edward Lahman of Wichita, Kansas, was found deceased in the front seat of a passenger van with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. The incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Edwards. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
