On October 23, 2024, at approximately 4:55 a.m., 25-year-old Kendell Richards Friday was fatally shot in the head near the intersection of Schenectady Avenue and St. John's Place in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Emergency responders transported him to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
