On August 21, 2023, 50-year-old Jose Lumbreras, Sr., a resident of Wichita, Kansas, was tragically murdered. Born on March 26, 1973, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Roberto Lumbreras and Eloteria Saldana, Jose completed his education in Mexico before relocating to Wichita, where he resided for three decades. He worked in construction, most recently as a bricklayer for Heart Stone Construction. In 2000, he married Irene Vega in Wichita.
