On a late summer day in Wichita, Kansas, the life of James Edward Gibson, a 69-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short. On August 30, 2023, police were dispatched to the Seneca Place Apartments located at 2116 South Seneca, where they discovered Gibson inside his residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
