In the early evening of February 20, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the ordinary sounds of a gas station near 18th Street and Parallel Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas. When the ensuing chaos subsided, 19-year-old Hispanic male Sergio Enrique Ramirez was found fatally wounded. Another individual was also discovered at the scene, suffering from life-threatening injuries. Emergency services pronounced Ramirez dead at the location.
