In the Desire neighborhood of New Orleans, on the evening of February 12, 2023, the life of 25-year-old Keilan Chase Lieteau-Harris was tragically cut short. A native and lifelong resident of the city, Harris, a male, was an aspiring rapper who had been educated within the St. Bernard Parish Public School System.
At approximately 9:38 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 3500 block of Ursula Spencer Way.
Upon arrival, they discovered Keilan Harris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, a grim end to a life that was just beginning to find its rhythm. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office later confirmed his identity and determined the preliminary cause of death to be a gunshot wound.
As of the latest available information, the investigation into the homicide of Keilan Harris remains ongoing. Authorities have not publicly identified any suspects or a potential motive for the shooting.
