Tommy Vanhoose, a 43-year-old male of unspecified ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed on April 7, 1997, in his grocery store, Comeaux's Grocery, located in Bridge City, near New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred when a masked gunman entered the store, demanded money at gunpoint, and shot Vanhoose multiple times after he refused to comply. The gunman then fled the scene in a waiting car.
