On April 19, 2024, the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) discovered the body of 34-year-old Chad Verret in an undeveloped area in the 15000 block of Chef Menteur Highway. Verret had been reported missing prior to his discovery, with his last known sighting on April 9, 2024, in the New Orleans East area.
