In the midst of a joyous Mardi Gras celebration in Shreveport, Louisiana, a sudden act of violence brought a tragic end to the life of 17-year-old Kip Christensen Lewis. On the evening of February 18, 2023, while attending the Krewe of Gemini parade near Clyde Fant Memorial Parkway, the white male teenager was fatally wounded by a single gunshot.
