In the spring of 2026, the city of Shreveport, Louisiana, was grappling with a surge in violence that disturbed a period of relative calm. On the 9th of April, this wave of crime tragically engulfed 34-year-old Choncy Moore. He was discovered inside a vehicle in the 200 block of West 70th Street, in the Cedar Grove neighborhood, having been fatally shot. The location was near a police substation that was under construction.
