On February 14, 2022, 24-year-old African American male Jaqorius D’Sean Cory Willis was fatally shot in Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. in the 1900 block of Downing Street, located in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood. Upon arrival, Shreveport Police Department officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
