On March 1, 2023, a 27-year-old man named Jamacan Malveaux from Eunice, Louisiana, died as a result of a shooting. The incident occurred on Tuesday night around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 29 and North St. Mary Street in Eunice.
