On March 25, 2023, 32-year-old Jacorvin M. Taylor of Shreveport, Louisiana, was fatally wounded in a mass shooting at the intersection of Texas and Market Streets in downtown Shreveport. The assailants arrived in a stolen vehicle and opened fire on a group of individuals heading toward a local club, resulting in seven people being shot, including Mr. Taylor.
Following the shooting, the perpetrators fled the scene in the stolen car, leading police on a high-speed chase through the city.
