In the early hours of March 25, 2023, the vibrant nightlife of downtown Shreveport was shattered by a burst of gunfire that erupted in the 200 block of Texas Street. When the chaos subsided, 32-year-old Jacorvin Taylor, a male resident of Shreveport, lay dead, and six other individuals were wounded in what authorities would describe as a mass shooting.
