In the fall of 2018, a dispute in Shreveport, Louisiana, tragically cut short the life of a young man. On October 1, 2018, 26-year-old Demetrius Davis was shot and killed in the 4200 block of Mandara Drive. The incident, which began as an argument, escalated into a physical altercation that ultimately led to the fatal shooting.
Following the incident, Shreveport Police identified Christian De'Andrea Combs, then 26 years old, as the suspect.
A warrant was issued for his arrest on a charge of second-degree murder. A significant bond of half a million dollars was set in the matter.
Demetrius Patrell DeWayne Davis, known to some by the nickname 'Automatic,' was born on November 14, 1991. He was educated within the Caddo Parish School system and had a passion for dancing and rapping. His life was celebrated at a service at Greater Hope Baptist Church on October 13, 2018, and he was laid to rest in the gardens of Round Grove Memorial Gardens. He was a father, survived by his son, as well as two sisters.
