On the evening of August 26, 2020, Minnion Jackson, a 17-year-old Black male, was driving on Interstate 220 in Shreveport, Louisiana, after dropping off a football teammate. A promising wide receiver for Green Oaks High School, Jackson was heading into his senior year with accolades as a first-team All-District player.
