On June 26, 2023, 30-year-old Samjarrar Amie was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Riverdale Apartments, located in the 6800 block of Rasberry Lane in west Shreveport, Louisiana. The incident occurred shortly after 8:45 p.m. Amie was transported to LSU Ochsner Health Shreveport, where he was pronounced dead at 9:26 p.m.
