In the warm evening of June 26, 2023, the life of 30-year-old Samjarrar Amie, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in Shreveport, Louisiana. The fatal encounter unfolded in the parking lot of the Riverdale Apartments, situated in the 6800 block of Rasberry Lane. Shortly after 8:45 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the evening calm.
