On a tragic Friday evening in Rayne, Louisiana, the life of 59-year-old Thomas Blake Touchet was cut short in a violent encounter. On August 18, 2023, at approximately 5:08 PM, the Rayne Police Department received a distressing call about a shooting in progress at the Family Dollar store located at 815 The Boulevard.
