In the quiet town of Rayne, Louisiana, the evening of December 6, 2016, was shattered by the sound of gunfire, leading to the tragic death of 59-year-old Mohammed Abdullar Nur. A Black male, Mr. Nur was found in the 400 block of West B. North Street after police received several calls from concerned citizens reporting shots fired in the area shortly before 8:30 p.m.. He was quickly transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
