On November 3, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Mansfield, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Frank Edwards Jr. Deputies from the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 1608 Mary Street, where they found a black male, later identified as Frank Edwards Jr., lying face down on the ground and unresponsive due to a gunshot wound. Despite rendering CPR, Edwards was transported to DeSoto Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
