On January 14, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Gonzales, Louisiana, resulting in the deaths of 1-year-old Kaylee Forcell and her mother, 41-year-old Christina Artus. The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a call at a home in the Oak Village Mobile Home Park off Airline Highway, where they discovered the bodies of Kaylee and Christina, both of whom had been shot in the head.
