On March 23, 2024, 18-year-old Jayrick Ja'Voy "Jay" Washington was tragically killed in a shooting on Interstate 110 near the Fuqua Street exit in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Authorities believe the incident stemmed from road rage, leading to Washington being shot while driving to his job at Walmart in Baker. The gunshot wounds caused him to lose control of his vehicle, which then collided with a tree, resulting in his death at the scene.
