A quiet evening in Baton Rouge turned tragic on Thursday, May 23, 2024, ending the life of a young man with a promising future. Dauntre Leeon Alvis, a 26-year-old male, was discovered in his vehicle on North Harrell's Ferry Road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the scene late that night, finding Alvis alone in his car which was located outside of a FedEx building.
