In the early evening of September 8, 2022, a sense of unease settled over the Windsor Place neighborhood in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was here, in a vehicle parked near the intersection of Windsor Drive and North Harco Drive, that a discovery was made that would forever alter the lives of one family. Inside the car, fatally wounded, was 36-year-old Joshua Sanders, a resident of nearby Port Allen. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
