In the wake of the event, the Tensas Parish Sheriff's Office launched an investigation that quickly led to a person of interest.
Authorities identified her boyfriend, Courtlandt Flournoy Jr., in connection with the shooting. As the investigation progressed, Flournoy Jr. was taken into custody and subsequently charged with manslaughter in the death of Antasia.
