On Friday, August 23, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Alexandria, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 37-year-old Willie Porter. The Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to a shooting in the 2900 block of Monroe Street, a residential area that has seen a recent increase in criminal activity, around 8:27 PM.
