Ra'Kel Markez Morris, 27, a man from Alexandria, was killed in the early hours of September 27, 2025, after gunfire erupted in the parking lot of Super Daqz on U.S. 71 South.
Deputies were called around 4:30 a.m.; by the time they arrived, five wounded people, including Ra'Kel Markez Morris, 27, had already been rushed to local hospitals by private vehicles.
The Rapides Parish Coroner later confirmed that Ra'Kel Markez Morris, 27, was pronounced dead that morning at Christus Cabrini ER.
