On March 31, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Alexandria, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Derrick Ford Jr. The Alexandria Police Department responded to a shooting incident in the 1800 block of Hill Street at approximately 12:45 PM on Easter Sunday.
