On September 29, 2024, a tragic shooting incident occurred on Interstate 10 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 22-year-old Erik Dorsey. The incident took place around 2:50 AM near the I-10/I-12 split, where Dorsey was driving an SUV westbound on I-10. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, gunshots were fired from a fleeing vehicle, targeting the SUV driven by Dorsey.
