In the early morning hours of December 3, 2017, a tragic event unfolded in a quiet Baton Rouge neighborhood that would irrevocably alter the lives of a family. Zakaria Toom, a 50-year-old male, was found inside a residence on Parnell Drive, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
