Victor Gomez-Vargas, a 30-year-old male, was tragically shot and killed on July 18, 2022, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred around 10:32 PM in the 12000 block of Lorna Avenue during the theft of his vehicle. Gomez-Vargas died at the scene, and his vehicle was later recovered unoccupied in the 12200 block of La Margie Avenue. The initial investigation did not identify any suspects, and the case remained open for some time.
