In the afternoon hours of December 4, 2020, a tragedy unfolded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, forever altering the lives of one family and leaving a community in mourning. Reginald Lewis Jr., a 14-year-old African American male, was fatally shot outside of his home on Topeka Street. The incident occurred at approximately 4:04 p.m., when the young teenager was struck by multiple gunshots. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the shooting.
