In the quiet hours of a Saturday night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 13-year-old J'Quan Jarvis, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On January 16, 2021, the young teenager was found lying in the street in the 3900 block of Beechwood Drive near Mohican Street, the victim of a fatal shooting.
