In the early morning hours of April 25, 2025, a fatal encounter unfolded at an Exxon gas station on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, leaving one man dead. Alejandro Gonzales-Martinez, a 30-year-old male, was discovered critically injured at the scene around 12:13 a.m.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Gonzales-Martinez was the victim of a robbery that tragically escalated to a shooting.
An unknown suspect robbed Gonzales-Martinez before shooting him and fleeing the location on a bicycle. Emergency services transported Gonzales-Martinez to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Despite undergoing emergency surgery, Alejandro Gonzales-Martinez succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Homicide detectives with the Baton Rouge Police are actively investigating the incident. At this time, no suspect has been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
