In the quiet of a late December night in Baton Rouge, tragedy struck the home of 74-year-old Junies Jones. On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, while inside his residence on Heidel Avenue, Mr. Jones was fatally wounded by gunfire that erupted from outside his house. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in a residential area near Prescott Road and North Brookstown Drive.
