In the quiet evening hours of Wednesday, September 29, 2021, the life of 16-year-old Jamar Jermaine 'JJ' Turnley, a male, was tragically cut short in a burst of violence. The teenager was in the front yard of his residence on Harelson Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, when he was struck by multiple gunshots. The incident occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m., and despite the prompt arrival of emergency services, Jamar succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
