Jamar Jermaine "JJ" Turnley, a 16-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 29, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to a reported shooting at approximately 8:50 p.m. on that fateful evening. Upon arrival at the 2100 block of Harelson Street, detectives discovered Jamar Turnley had been shot multiple times in the front yard and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
