In the early morning hours of a summer Sunday in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 23-year-old Mozell Issacc Johnson, Jr. was tragically cut short. On July 9, 2023, around 9:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of 22nd and Wilson Avenue in the city's West End. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Johnson suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, but his injury proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
