On a Tuesday evening in Jeffersontown, a community within the Louisville metropolitan area, 24-year-old Derrick Minott, Jr. was fatally shot. The incident occurred on June 18, 2024, in the parking lot of an apartment complex located on Palmetto Circle. Minott and a female companion were seated in a vehicle when another car approached, and multiple shots were fired into their car.
