In the summer of 2020, a young man's life was cut short in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. Twenty-year-old Malik Savage was fatally shot on the afternoon of July 13th on Lytle Street, near the intersection of North 24th and Bank Streets. When officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department arrived at the scene around 4 p.m., they found Savage, who had sustained a single gunshot wound. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
