On October 31, 2024, William Houston Joshua McPheeters, a 36-year-old resident of Louisville, Kentucky, lost his life to gun violence. The incident occurred when a car in which McPheeters was the driver crashed on the Watterson Expressway, also known as I-264. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), the car was traveling east on the expressway when the crash happened.
