Ernest Powell, a 22-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, was tragically shot and killed on April 10, 2011. The incident occurred near 1133 W Muhammad Ali Boulevard, in the Beecher Terrace area. Powell, known to his family as "Pete," worked at Margaret's Place Restaurant and Flea Market and was an active member of his community and Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
