In the late hours of a summer night in Louisville, Kentucky, tragedy befell Silvestre Martinez, a 33-year-old male from Mexico who had a Lexington address. On Sunday, August 7, 2016, at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department's Fourth Division were dispatched to the 4600 block of Southern Parkway following a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered Martinez suffering from gunshot wounds.
